Shin Lim wins America's Got Talent: The Champions (Reports)

The 2019 America’s Got Talent: The Champions winner has been chosen. After competing against the world’s top Got Talent acts, AGT’s favorite magician, Shin Lim, earned the first-place trophy on Monday night’s finale. Season 12 champion Darci Lynne Farmer placed second overall.

Shin Lim was already ecstatic when he won the AGT title back in September 2018. Now, merely months later, his incredible card tricks have once again led him to victory — only this time, he’s the Got Talent champion of the entire world.

Of course, ending up on top was far from easy. The illusionist was up against some seriously gifted acts, including: Susan Boyle, Preacher Lawson, Brian Justin Crum, Cristina Ramos, Angelica Hale, and more. Given the incredible talent he beat out, it made his win that much more amazing for his fans:

“Congratulations #ShinLim for winning the #AGTChampions so well deserved!!! YAY,” one excited fan tweeted. “He was my favorite. Such a talent and I love that he said “Follow your dreams.” @ShinLimMagic #AGTChampions,” another remarked.

Still, there were some hoping that Susan Boyle or Darci would take home the prize instead.

“It’s not much of a final if Susan Boyle is not there,” an angry fan tweeted about the “I Dreamed a Dream” singer. “The ’50 States’ got it wrong!” another snapped.

No matter what your thoughts are on the results, the magician’s victory marks the end of America’s Got Talent: The Champions this year. Sadly, this means that AGT fans will have to wait until the summer to see the full series kick off again. Until then though, there’s always The World’s Best to get your talent show fix.
