Pastor interrupts Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as he spoke during a visit to Bethel United Methodist Church.

Trump focused much of his speech on the economy and the Flint water crisis, tying outsourcing to the problem of high lead levels in the drinking water there.

“It used to be cars were made in Flint and you couldn’t drink the water in Mexico,” he said. “Now the cars are made in Mexico and you can’t drink the water in Flint.”

Trump went on to slam the North American Free Trade Agreement and Bill and Hillary Clinton. Then Rev. Faith Green Timmons walked up to the lectern and interrupted Trump, telling him that wasn’t what he was there to speak about.

“China now, you look at what is going on, a trade deficit of $500 billion. Hillary failed on the economy just like she’s failed on foreign policy, everything she touched didn’t work out—nothing. Hillary Clinton—”

“Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done for Flint, not give a political speech,” Timmons said.

“Okay. That’s good. And I’m going to go back onto Flint,” Trump replied.

Trump ended his speech a few moments later, as Timmons, who’d returned to the audience, continued to speak to him. It was unclear what she said after leaving the stage.
