Donald Trump has crashed a wedding in New Jersey to the apparent delight of the newlyweds, who seemed quite happy to welcome the president into their nuptial soiree.
It’s not everyday that a wedding held at a New Jersey country club is crashed by the president of the United States, but, as most people have already figured out, Donald Trump is not your typical president.
That was definitely the case for a bride and groom who chose to hold their wedding reception at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, when the Commander in Chief — who just happened to be paying a visit to his property — stopped by for an unannounced visit.
This is nothing new, notes political website The Hill, citing a New York Times story that quotes a discontinued brochure from the club using Trump’s wedding-crashing as a selling point. “If he is on-site for your big day, he will likely stop in & congratulate the happy couple,” states the brochure. “He may take some photos with you but we ask you and your guests to be respectful of his time & privacy.”
The president, reports The Hill, is spending the weekend at his golf club, and dropped in to greet the happy couple on their big day, even chatting with the bride and groom. Check out these photos of Trump’s visit:
