Jarvis Cocker has announced the end of his BBC Radio 6 Music show.
The Pulp frontman began hosting the Sunday Service programme in January 2010. He has been absent from the airwaves since July, and regularly took breaks from presenting to work on other projects.
As the BBC reports, he will return to the show for five final programmes, with the last one being broadcast on December 31. His slot will be then be filled by a new show hosted by Amy Lamé, performer and London’s Night Czar.

Meanwhile, last month it was announced that Cocker will narrate a new ABBA exhibition. ABBA: Super Troupers will take place at London’s Southbank Centre, and will run from December 14 to April 29.
