Daphne Self, 89, who has been dubbed ‘the world’s oldest supermodel’, has landed a major new beauty campaign with makeup brand Eyeko.
She says that she started modelling in her 20s, during in the 50s, and got rediscovered at 70 when she was asked to do a shoot for Vogue who were doing a feature on ageing.
In a film produced by Fenn O Maelly for Eyeko – who specialise in eye makeup – Daphne is seen tending to her own ‘quite long and rather sparse’ eyelashes.
‘I like my eyelashes to look long and thick.’
Represented by Models 1, Daphne is just one of a number of models to be featured in Eyeko’s Bespoke Mascara campaign, which is seeking to show that ‘no one size fits all’.
The new bespoke product is supposed to give beauty lovers more options over what they want their lashes to look like.
