Scarlett Moffatt will be helping the BBC with its royal wedding coverage.
The former Gogglebox star will be reporting live every hour from Windsor Castle during the daytime broadcasts on May 19 for Radio 1.
Moffatt revealed the news on social media, posting: “So proud to announce I’ll be one of the wedding correspondents for the BBC for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day.
“To say I was excited would be an understatement #royalwedding #princeharry #meghanmarkle.”

But she was met with criticism from some who claimed she was the wrong choice, while others said they would switch to an alternative broadcaster.
One Twitter user posted: “Great news for Scarlett but this is such a slap in the face for real journalism. What about those that have spent years learning a trade? #BBC #RoyalWedding.”
Another posted: “Why on earth? Well that’s me not watching bbc coverage.”
Well done 👍 you'll be brilliant

Others rushed to congratulate the former Queen of the Jungle on her latest role, hailing the announcement “amazing news” and telling her to “be proud”.
The BBC will see Kirsty Young, Huw Edwards, Dermot O’Leary, Tina Daheley, Alex Jones, Ore Oduba and Anita Rani fronting the TV coverage from various locations around Windsor Castle and the surrounding area.
Chris Evans will lead the coverage on BBC Radio 2 with a special show in the morning before handing over to Alan Carr and Mel Sykes for a musical celebration.
Paul Gambaccini and Zoe Ball will then host shows charting music from the year of the bride and groom’s births as well as wedding-themed songs.
Claire Balding will host live coverage on Radio 4, Radio 5 live and the World Service throughout the day.
There will also be a special show on May 18 at 7pm, titled The Royal Wedding: They’re Getting Married In The Morning.
