Damir Dzumhur was fighting for one of the biggest wins of his career in the French Open third round against second seed Alexander Zverev but while leading two sets to one, he had an unfortunate collision with one of the ball boys.
Running around all day long under the hot sun collecting balls and working like clockwork with a team isn’t easy — especially when you have to dodge giant tennis players.
Bosnian tennis player Damir Dzumhur was caught in an ugly collision with a French Open ball boy during his third round loss to second seed Alexander Zverev at Roland Garros.
The 26-year-old knocked over the youngster as they both ran to catch a stray ball midway through the five set epic.
Dzumhur rushed to check if the boy, lying in pain on the clay, was okay before officials escorted him to the side of the court for the remainder of the game.
Auw! Dzumhur en de ballenjongen hadden maar één doel voor ogen, de bal. Alleen zagen ze elkaar over het hoofd.🤕 #RG18 #RolandGarros pic.twitter.com/ME1NDBCYxJ
