Greensboro woman left on doorstep finds biological parents.
A North Carolina woman reconnected with her parents 27 years after she was left on the doorstep of a daycare in Greensboro.
Precious Bradley was later adopted and had no clue about her biological parents or birth before attending NC A&T for college. According to WFMY, that’s when she began to search for them.
Her efforts took her to ancestry.com where, eventually, the 27-year-old got a hit which led to her finding her biological father, and then, her mother.
“I had to do it like I was taking a business call. You have to get right into it or you might chicken out. The conversation was really asking questions, those vital questions.”
When speaking to her parents, one of her first questions was ‘why?’
“I definitely think this was a cry for help,” Precious explains. “She did what she felt was the best option that she had and at the end of the day, I’m perfectly fine with that option. because I’m able to live because of her.”
Bradley’s biological family is in North Carolina; her father is in Greensboro, and her mother is closer to the Raleigh area. Since she reached out, Bradley says she has been getting to know the members of her biological family.
“Definitely baby steps,” Precious explains. “This isn’t something that you just go out there and do.”
