Two dead in horror M62 crash after car travels in wrong direction.
Two men have been killed after their vehicle was hit by a car being driven the wrong way down the M62 in West Yorkshire.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The accident happened at 2.34am today (April 2nd). Officers had received a report of a vehicle travelling Eastbound on the Westbound carriageway at junction 26.
Then further calls reported a collision involving a white Skoda Octavia and a black Vauxhall Insignia.
Two men, aged 34 and 37, were found to have died in the Skoda. The 22-driver of the vauxhall Insignia was arrested at the scene for causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
There are road closures in place in both directions of the M62 whilst enquiries into the collision continue. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting log number *212 of 2 April.
