Mystery car hanging from bridge perplexes Toronto.
As traffic rumbled over the Leaside Bridge in Toronto, Canada, passersbys noticed a blue Honda Civic dangling precariously by a wire underneath.
Was it a prank? An art project? Or something more sinister?
Police thought initially the hollowed out car was a part of an unusual movie set. It wasn’t. Now they’re baffled.
Others on social media speculated further. Engineering students? Aliens? No-one had the slightest hint of proof.
An engineering student prank would seem possible. In 2001 engineering students at the University of British Columbia suspended a red Volkswagen beetle – outfitted with a Canadian flag – from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
But for now the mystery remains (unlike the car which was lowered safely to the ground by Toronto firefighters) up in the air.
