Phil Bryant wedding ring lost found, Jeff Maher found the ring in an old couch, Bryant. Clay Chandler, a spokesman for the governor said the Bryants had given the couch to one of the first lady’s cousins in 1989.
“The first lady’s cousin, who lives in Copiah County near where she and the governor own property, put the couch on the side of the road last week to be picked up by anyone who wanted it,” Chandler said. “Mr. Maher retrieved the couch. When he started to clean it, he discovered a wedding band with the governor’s and first lady’s initials inscribed on the inside, along with their wedding date.”
Maher knew said he knew the Bryants own property in the area and called the governor’s office last week to find out if the wedding band belonged to the governor.
“Turns out, it did,” Chandler said.
Bryant posted a picture on Facebook of the ring back on his finger and thanked Maher for finding it.
