Phoenix Suns VIP treatment: Boy in viral birthday photo.
Teddy was left heartbroken when none of his classmates showed up to his birthday party, so the Phoenix Suns decided to throw him another one at their game.
The six-year-old boy went viral earlier this week when his mother posted a photo online showing how no one had showed up to his pizza party.
The Phoenix Suns NBA team got wind of the heartbreaking story and invited Teddy to their home game on Thursday.
How about we celebrate with thousands at our place! Tickets to Wednesday’s #SunsVSLakers game are all yours Teddy! Talk soon! https://t.co/YL3zjDX9JW

But he didn’t just get free tickets to the game, he got a makeshift birthday party and the chance to meet all of his favourite players.

Thanks for letting us celebrate your birthday with you. Even if a little late. 🎂

He even got to meet the team cheerleaders and gorilla mascot, who presented him with a crown and some presents, including a personalised Suns jersey.
“This is the best day ever!” Teddy said to his dad.
His dad couldn’t believe the support, calling it “overwhelming.”
But was it all a hoax?
Unfortunately Teddy’s parents have had to answer accusations that the picture was a hoax.
“We really did throw a birthday party, did invite his friends and they didn’t show, and that’s the truth of it,” his mother said.
