Rumored Jeffrey Epstein ex-girlfriend and alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is a household name at this point, but it turns out there may have been another woman in the picture as well. The trove of new court documents unsealed last week suggest Epstein was also romantically linked to children’s book author Shelley Anne Lewis, the New York Post reported.
The British-born author was reportedly a frequent passenger on Epstein’s private jet, often accompanying him on trips to New York and his infamous private island of Little Saint James. Lewis is thought to have begun dating Epstein in 1999, when she was a 22-year-old working in the contemporary art department of Christie’s auction house in New York. According to the recently unsealed court documents, Maxwell previously attempted to get Epstein to publicly announce Lewis as his girlfriend instead of Maxwell.
Lewis now runs a children’s publishing house named after her own nickname, which is apparently “Chocolate Sauce,” as well as the Manhattan meditation center Sacred Space NY. She is the author of a best-selling children’s book, A Key To The Heart.
While Lewis, unlike fellow Epstein girlfriend Maxwell, has not yet been charged in association with Epstein’s crimes, she may be a person of obvious interest for prosecutors and lawyers involved in the case.
“Ms. Lewis may have information which could be valuable and which could aid victims who are seeking compensation from Epstein’s estate,” an unidentified lawyer for some Epstein accusers told the Daily Mail. “We would urge her to tell the FBI what she knows.
