A woman has been found dead in Sydney’s Parramatta River.
Police have discovered the body of a woman, believed to be aged in her 70s, in Parramatta River near the Queen’s Wharf Reserve.
Officers attended the scene at about 2.15pm on Sunday, where they located the woman’s body.
Marine Area Command officers were alerted, then attended the scene and recovered the body.
A crime scene was established as police from the Cumberland Area Command attempted to determine the cause of the woman’s death. They urged anyone with information to come forward.
On Monday morning, a police spokeswoman said the woman’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
The woman is yet to be formally identified.
