DUP leader Arlene Foster congratulated the WRONG prince on his engagement to Meghan Markle before realising her error and swiftly deleting the tweet.
The fifth in line to the British throne confirmed today that he has proposed to American actress Meghan following a one year relationship.
In a tweet at 10am this morning the palace said: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.”

The statement read: “The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
“His Royal Highness and Ms Marke became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family.
“Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms Markle’s parents.
“The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensignton Palace.”
When news broke, Mrs Foster took to Twitter to offer her congratulations, writing: “Congratulations to HRH Prince Harry and Megan Markle on their engagement. Wonderful news this morning!”
She initially mistakenly tweeted her congratulations to Prince William, but this was swiftly deleted.
Other political figures in Northern Ireland have also offered their best wishes to the couple.
Clarence house added: “Ms. Markle’s parents, Mr. Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland have wished the couple ‘a lifetime of happiness.'”
Harry and Meghan will appear for a photo call at Kensington Palace later this afternoon and will also take part in a broadcast interview to be aired this evening UK time.
