Elizabeth Hurley’s £6million Herefordshire mansion was burgled last week while she was home entertaining guests for a dinner party.
The 52 year old screen siren has been forced to beef up her security after being burgled by raiders while she was entertaining dinner guests.
A source said: ‘They don’t think Liz was targeted specifically police think thieves were just looking at large country houses to hit.
‘She has CCTV, sensors and on-site guards. The place is now like Fort Knox. The house is surrounded by its own grounds with entry via locked gates and a long drive’ a source told the Sun.
Police think that the raiders were parked about half a mile away, and walked up the path to enter the mansion.
A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: ‘At about 9am, West Mercia Police received reports of a burglary in progress at a property.
‘Officers attended, and the incident was investigated. No arrests have been made. If any new information comes to light it will be looked into.’
