Anne Hegerty Accuses The Chase Host Bradley Walsh Of Cheating In Tense On-air Row, Report

Anne Hegerty caused a stir on Thursday’s instalment of the ITV1 daytime TV quiz favourite The Chase.

During the penultimate episode of the week, The Governess had Bradley Walsh stunned.

Bradley, a former Coronation Street, who also starred as a Doctor Who companion, was back in The Chase studio to present the latest instalment.

Each evening, from 5pm on ITV1, Bradley welcomes four The Chase contestants who want a life-changing jackpot.

They attempt to win a huge sum of money and compete against a Chaser – and now Anne has accused host Bradley of helping them.

Contestants Cally, Julie, Sam and Robin were the players in the game, and Cally went head to head against the formidable Anne.

Bradley asked: “A 2018 set of stamps featuring which London palace depicts the ‘Pond Gardens’, ‘Great Fountain Gardens’, and ‘Maze’?

He emphasised the word “maze” and even leaned over and looked at Cally when he said it.

The options were A) Lambeth Palace, B) Hampton Court Palace, and C) Kensington Palace.

Bradley said: “This helps you out if you’re from London, of course. You’ve put Hampton Court Palace.”

Cally replied: “Yes, I know there’s a maze there, so…”

Bradley said: “Yep, absolutely, yep, well played.”

Anne replied: “I love extremely the subtle way you went ‘MAZE’. Just to make sure she knew it.”

Bradley said: “I didn’t!”

“Yes you did,” said Anne.

“I didn’t do that! I didn’t do that, I do not do that, I didn’t do that did I? Did you hear me do that?” Bradley continued.
