Coronavirus Australia Updates: Melbourne hospital cluster continues to grow

Five of the 14 COVID-19 cases recorded on Friday are linked to hospitals or nursing homes, a reduction in the proportion of cases linked to these settings from previous days.

A cluster at Footscray Hospital grew by two cases to 21, 16 of which are active.

Three cases are linked to aged care homes including Estia in Keilor Downs Opal in Hobsons Bay.

Five cases are linked to outbreaks at Dandenong Police Station and a Springvale shared accommodation facility.

The community cluster in the local government area of Casey did not grow.

The number of active cases in aged care homes dropped by about 25 to 247 and the number of health workers currently infected reduced by six to 77.
