The chances of getting nice treatment in Miami, Florida, from locals for Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are very low, sources said. The reason behind this is the former first daughter’s initial response to Capitol building riots that happened on January 6, killing five people, including a police officer. She had called the violent protesters “patriots”. Ivanka and Jared moved to a luxury condo in Miami after former President Donald Trump left the White House on January 20, hours before President Joe Biden took the oath.
According to an insider who spoke to OK magazine, “Miami is a very liberal town. What will happen when these two want to go to restaurants or shop in town? They will need a constant security presence and will disrupt everywhere they go.” Besides, a former friend of the couple said, “They’ll be welcomed back by people who know the Trumps are as close as they’ll get to power. But everyone with self-respect, a career, morals, respect for democracy, or who doesn’t want their friends to shame them both in private and public will steer clear.”
Another long-time former acquaintance was quoted by OK magazine, who added, “They will probably be welcomed by real estate types and that group of Upper East Side and Palm Beach families that read about themselves in Quest magazine but don’t matter. There will always be private dinner parties for them to attend, but they will be the entertainment. And Ivanka is no Princess Margaret and Jared is not the Duke of Windsor regaling guests with amusing bon mots to a captive audience. No one wants to hear about Sarah Huckabee’s pies or Steve Bannon’s shirts.”
When the pro-Trump supporters were storming the Capitol building in early January, the 39-year-old took to Twitter and labeled them as “American Patriots”. She tweeted, “American Patriots – any security breach or disrespect to our law enforcement is unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately. Please be peaceful.” However, later she deleted that tweet after criticism and said, “No. Peaceful protest is patriotic. Violence is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms.”

Midas Touch – an American political action committee formed in March 2020 – reportedly raised the money for the billboard that has Ivanka’s face plastered on it. A van carrying the billboard was seen driving up and down Ivanka’s new Miami neighborhood.
Earlier, in January, a report claimed that Ivanka believes that despite all the controversies during her father’s time in the office, she can be the first woman president of the US. She reportedly thinks that her chances to assume the office in the future is still open. It was said that back in 2016 when Trump became the president, Ivanka and Jared Kushner were warned by their friends not to join politics. But the duo “decided to accept roles in the West Wing over the advice of almost everyone they knew. It was a joint decision by the couple, and, in some sense, a joint job. Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president. She’s leaving that for her dad and Don Jr.”
