Mylee Billingham, 8, is ‘stabbed to death by dad’ whose brother is SAS Who Dares Wins TV star and Brad Pitt’s ex-bodyguard.
Tucked up with her pink fairy pyjamas on and munching on pizza, the eight-year-old was snapped by dad Bill Billingham who remains in custody on suspicion of her murder, reports The Sun .
He posted the touching image on Facebook at 8:16pm with the caption: “Pitza on bed lv moo x [sic]”.
Tragically, her mum Tracey Taundry had “liked” the picture on Facebook along with eight other doting friends and family members.
But within minutes little Mylee was being rushed to hospital with serious knife wounds after police were called at 9.15pm.
Chilling screams were heard by neighbours in Brownhills, West Middlands, UK, before officers arrived to find the girl covered in blood and Bill with severe stab wounds. She sadly died a short time later.
Bill suffered a stab wound to the stomach and is currently fighting for his life in hospital under police guard with detectives from West Midlands Police’s Homicide Unit waiting to quiz him.
Distraught mum Tracey was heard screaming that her little girl had been stabbed as neighbours tried to comfort her on Saturday.
Graham Greatrex, 74, told how emergency services rushed to the street of terraced bungalows to be met by “hysterical” Ms Taundry shouting: “They stabbed my baby.”
He added: “She was in shock and she couldn’t say anything else.
“It was a bit of a shock. You can’t imagine it happening on our doorstep, especially when it’s a little girl.”
On Sunday the housing association home was being searched by forensics experts as police cars and vans lined the snow-covered street.
A friend of Bill’s said: “I just can’t believe he would do something like this. It’s completely out of character.
“Him and Tracey were split, but he completely doted on all five children.
“I used to drink with him in the pub and he seemed like such a normal person. To do something like that is terrible.
“I just don’t understand how it’s happened.”
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are still at the early stages of understanding exactly what happened and why – but I can confirm we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.”
Other neighbours told of their shock while family and friends paid tribute to young Ed Sheeran fanatic Mylee.
Bob Weir, who lives two doors away from the crime scene, said he had initially thought the incident was drug-related.
The 72-year-old said: “I didn’t hear until this morning what it was and I was absolutely shocked – I didn’t know the bloke who lived there and he hadn’t lived there long, maybe six months, if that.
“There were police cars both sides of the road, ambulances … all sorts. I thought it was something to do with drugs.
“I didn’t know there were any kids in there. I thought he just lived on his own. I never saw a girl or a woman there.”
He added: “I saw the stretchers being taken out to the ambulances.
“I’ve barely slept because the police have been using our back garden for access and were out there all night.
“It’s very sad, and I feel sorry for the little girl.
Dannie Meegan who lives a few doors away said she could “hear the screams” before the police arrived.
And a neighbour described Mylee as “just lovely, with lovely long blonde hair.”
Local councillor Ken Ferguson added: “It’s absolutely devastating news. Someone so young has had their life taken away, I can’t comprehend it.”
Another neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “I only knew the guy to say hello to and I think he was married and was living there on his own.
“I didn’t hear anything before the police got here.
“It’s really sad. This is not the sort of area where you hear of anybody being stabbed.”
Beth Taundry, a relative of Mylee, wrote online: “I do want to thank everybody for their concern and the general messages hoping all is okay.
“The least everyone can do is keep us in your thoughts.”
Another family member said: “We have hardly slept and are just trying to understand and process what has happened.
“We still don’t know exactly what has took place. We are truly devastated.”
