The new “Venom” movie starring Tom Hardy will be out this Fall, but you can already get a sneak peek of the movie right below (and, yes, you get to see the costume.)

Eddie Brock, aka Venom, was first introduced to modern comic book movie fans back in the now-infamous Spider-Man 3, as played by Topher Grace. The film is widely accepted as the worst in the franchise, and fans were bummed that their favorite anti-hero’s shot at big-screen glory was ruined by an overcrowded, convoluted movie. After such a rough film, fans fears we wouldn’t find another shot at seeing Venom on the big screen.

Luckily, Tom Hardy decided to swoop in and save Eddie Brock from Spider-Man 3. Hardy and the team behind the movie have been giving us little breadcrumbs of clues into the film, but we were really waiting to see our first glimpses of Venom himself, black suit and all. Thankfully, in this first trailer, we finally get a quick look.

Eddie’s powers come to him thanks to a pernicious symbiote that invades his entire system and essentially takes over his body. However, these powers come at a pretty intense cost to Eddie, as the symbiote isn’t exactly interested in doing good for humanity–it’s why we often see Venom as the bad guy in Spider-Man stories. However, in this film, Eddie Brock and his alter ego will take on more of an anti-hero role.

We don’t know what that will specifically mean for the film, and we don’t know exactly how this movie will fit into the Spider-Verse (though a Tom Holland appearance as Peter Parker, not Spider-Man, has been rumored for some time now). Still, this movie looks like Eddie Brock is finally getting his day in the sun, and we can’t wait. Venom hits theaters on October 5, so get ready!
