Renee Zellweger Absolutely Did NOT Perform ‘Sexual Favors’ For Harvey Weinstein!.
The rep for the actress said that if Weinstein ”said that, he’s full of s**t”.
People were the first to report the story and said that Weinstein himself told court officials that certain actresses in Hollywood gave him sexual favours in order to land roles in his films.
Weinstein also pointed fingers to Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron as the actresses who formed a ”sexual relationship” with him just to star in his films.
The film producer has been accused of sexual harassment by more than 80 women now. Those who have accused him are Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan, Cara Delevingne and Lupita Nyong’o.
He denied allegations of sexual assault and said, along with his representatives, that he was only guilty of ”impolitic behaviour”.
In a statement to People, Weinstein’s attorneys, Blair Berk and Ben Brafman, said:
“Mr Weinstein has never at any time committed an act of sexual assault, and it is wrong and irresponsible to conflate claims of impolitic behaviour or consensual sexual contact later regretted, with an untrue claim of criminal conduct. There is a wide canyon between mere allegation and truth, and we are confident that any sober calculation of the facts will prove no legal wrongdoing occurred.
“Nonetheless, to those offended by Mr Weinstein’s behaviour, he remains deeply apologetic.”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science have revealed a new code of conduct for members. They said:
“In addition to achieving excellence in the field of motion picture arts and sciences, members must also behave ethically by upholding the Academy’s values of respect for human dignity, inclusion, and a supportive environment that fosters creativity.
“The Academy asks that members embrace their responsibility to affirm these principles and act when these principles are violated.
“There is no place in the academy for people who abuse their status, power or influence in a manner that violates recognised standards of decency.”
