THE VOICE UK continued with the last round of Blind Auditions and hoping to make an impression was Hannah Hocking. Unfortunately she didn’t make it through to the next round which left coach Sir Tom Jones worried about his decisions so far.
With the auditions on The Voice UK coming to an end, the coaches had to make some tough choices as they only had one or two slots left on their teams. Sir Tom Jones admitted he was looking for a male soul singer to join his team but after hearing Hannah sing, he shared some regret.
Hannah perform Whitney Houston’s classic hit All The Man That I Need in a bid to impress the coaches.
It seemed Olly Murs, Sir Tom, Anne-Marie, and will.i.am were all impressed with her performance but no one turned their chair for her.
After she left the stage, Sir Tom asked: “Did I make a mistake?”
Viewers expressed their disappointment none of the judges turned their chair on Twitter with many questioning how the act before Hannah, 2ché made it onto Sir Tom’s team instead.
One viewer posted: “When pure talent like that doesnt get a turn, you realise the show is a complete and utter farse. #thevoiceuk.”
Another added: “Ugh? Seriously? This show is a joke…. after the dross they’ve put through #thevoiceuk.”
“Are they joking??? Might just turn it off now #TheVoiceUk,” a third tweeted.
Someone else complained: “I’m getting so frustrated at #TheVoiceUK putting such good singers on towards the end of auditions when they KNOW the judges don’t turn!!!”
Before Hannah took to the stage, Sir Tom had chosen 2ché, twins Jahz and Darius to join his team.
The boys had been laid off their jobs before auditioning due to the coronavirus pandemic but used the extra time to practise.
Despite wanting the twins on his team Sir Tom admitted they were “a bit pitchy” while they sang Emeli Sandé’s Heaven.
However, he explained he was certain he could help the pair work on the vocals.
