An online bikini retailer which claims to hold a Vancouver address has received the lowest possible rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) due to β among other things β a failure βto be transparent about ownership, location, or products/services offered.β
On its website, BikiniShe lists 780 West Pender Street, as the address for its business.
However, according to the BBB, this is not a real mailing address. And for those trying to contact the company by phone, BikiniShe βdoes not provide a phone number to speak with a company representative.β
The BBB added that it has received information from consumers that obtaining return authorization is challenging, as it must be done within 15 days of receipt of the items.
Customers have reportedly been βunsuccessful in their attempts to contact BikiniShe to obtain the required return form and return address within the 15-day time limit.β
Consumers have also reported to BBB that they were unaware that they would be expected to pay the return shipping costs.
According to the BBB, BikiniSheβs website contained the following statement on February 5, 2019: βWe ship orders from China, the international orders arenβt eligible for free returns. Customer will be responsible for return shipping and handling fees. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.β
The BBB said this statement βmay not be clear to consumers as BikiniShe claims to be located in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and no return address is available on BikiniSheβs website. It is not clear which countries would be eligible for free returns.β
In total, the BBB said that 14 complaints have been filed against the business, and there has been a failure to respond to 11 of these.
